Minera Tres Valles (MTV) is a producing copper operation located in the Coquimbo Region of Chile, one of the world’s most stable and mining-friendly jurisdictions. The site combines open-pit and underground mining at Don Gabriel and Papomono, supported by a state-of-the-art SX-EW plant to produce Grade A (99.99%) copper cathodes.

In addition to its own ore, MTV processes material from local small-scale miners, contributing to regional development and employment. Over 60% of the workforce is locally sourced, and third-party mining is supported through formalized access agreements.

With strong commitments to sustainability, safety, and community engagement, MTV plays a key role in both GCR Group’s copper growth strategy and the economic vitality of the Choapa Province.

Tres Valles Foundation

Minera Tres Valles founded a non-profit organization that is committed to the development of the Province, especially around different town centers and residential areas. We support community initiatives that promote the development of the territory

Hiring Locally

We constantly work on keeping up our good local hiring rates, prioritizing the incorporation of our communities. The majority of our workers are from the area, with more than 60% coming from the towns of Salamanca and Illapel, in the Coquimbo region.

Clean Energy

We purchase clean power from an external company that is fueled by biogas energy, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the development of a circular economy.

Health and Safety

Thanks to our Process prioritizing high water recovery and recirculation, our freshwater consumption levels are very low compared to the mining industry.
